a day at our "beach"

A week ago we had our friends, the Hagers, up to the house to play in the pond and have dinner. The kids (that includes at least 2 over the age of 30) had fun catching about 10 salimanders, one large frog, a poly-wog, and a baby painted turtle. We knew there were 2 large turtles, but had no idea that there were babies. Catie got to kiss her first frog. (she didn't actually touch it with her lips!!) I doubt there are any princes living in our little pond.
After all that we went for a long hike down the back hill to the creek, up the creek to the pipeline, and then up the pipeline to the road and back to the house. We saw at least one deer on that trek. It was such a beautiful day. Thanks Jane, Jack, Janelle, and Jacob for coming to play. We'll miss you when you FINALLY sell your house.
(for those few of you that read this, please say a quick prayer that the Hagers' house would sell soon, so they can move on to Missouri to start their ministry there. Thanks.)
